Happy Mother’s Day to Sports Moms

Today we celebrate someone special. The person who knows the ins and outs of the field better than the coach. The person who remembers team players’ birthdays and shows up with cookies. The one who is always up for one more round of catch. The one who never get tired of hearing about how you almost won the big game. The one who washes the uniforms, drives to the practices, and is always cheering the loudest. The one and only Sports Mom.

You know who you are and you know how much work it take to keep every athlete on the field, doing their best. And we want you to know that we know too.

So thank you.

Thank you for waking up early to make the protein-centered breakfast  she needed to help her power through that last race.

Thank you for stitching his jersey back together between halves.

Thank you for teaching him how to lose gracefully so that he is never embarrassed by his shortcomings.

Thank you for teaching her how to get back up, just one more time, because this next time could be the difference between success and failure.

Thank you for getting her to practice on time every.single.week.

Thank you for encouraging him through two-a-days. It isn’t pretty, but the results are amazing.

Thank you for teaching her that winning isn’t everything—and that losing isn’t either.

Thank you for giving him the confidence he needs to cut through the craziness of a cheering crowd and focus on that winning shot.

Thank you for giving her the willpower she needed to get stronger.

Thank you for being the heart and soul, the cheerleader and team nurse, the everything and anything for your athlete.

We are all better because of it.

They say that behind every good man is a good woman. Well, we say that behind every good athlete is a great mom.

We really can’t say it enough: Thank you. And Happy Mother’s Day.
