Football Rose Arrangement Ideas: Turn Snack Helmet into a Vase or Planter

nfl and ncaa snack helmets available here

Throughout the year, I’m constantly searching for products that complement our Sports Roses arrangements.

Recently Wincraft introduced the Snack Helmet. The Snack Helmet is licensed for all NFL teams and over 50 NCAA teams. I ordered a few samples to get a closer look at the quality and size of the snack helmet.

I was really impressed with detail of each snack helmet. They are close to the size of a real helmet and feature high-quality team logo graphics and colors to replicate the helmets worn by players. Included with the helmet are 2 plastic bowls to hold snacks. One large bowl placed in the center and a smaller tray with 2 compartments that fits into the face mask.

Although the snack helmet is marketed as a snack & dip holder, I thought it would make a unique vase/planter to display Football Roses. I ordered some samples and put together a couple arrangements as a birthday and wedding gift for a few special friends. They LOVED it!

Best Ever Football Trick Plays

September 4, 2013 Leave a reply

There is no sport that has as many awesome trick plays as football. There is just something magical about the set-up of the football field that makes it perfect for memorable moments and player surprises.

From viral flag football videos to NFL big play, here are the BEST ever football trick plays:

#1 The Unconventional Snap. Sure, they’re taught to snap the ball between their legs, but the options for how to get the ball moving are actually endless. Check out this great play from a middle school.

#2 Two-Point Conversion fake-outs. The two-point conversion is always a gutsy choice, but what about when a player fakes out the other team in the process? It’s a win! This one from a Georgia Tech and Clemson game is definitely the best ever.

#3 Combo trick plays. There aren’t a lot of these, but, wow, Boise State should go down in history for successfully pulling off this one. There really are no words to describe it; you  have to see it to believe it.

#4 Anything in the NFL. NFL football is the most institutionalized football out there, which sometimes makes it feel a little less exciting to watch. Sure, these guys are pros and they make it look easy, but they sometimes lack the heart and guts of the younger players. But not when it comes to trick plays. Check out this combo video of the best NFL trick plays and you’ll be wowed.

Understanding the New NFL Stadium Bag Policy

August 6, 2013 Leave a reply

acceptable clear bag for new nfl stadium bag policy

Getting ready to watch your favorite NFL team this season?

Did you know that you can no longer bring purses, backpacks, seat cushions, fanny packs, camera and binocular cases into any NFL stadium during the 2013 season?

The NFL created a new universal bag policy that will be enforced at all NFL stadiums starting with the 2013 NFL season.

As the 2013 season approaches, NFL teams are sending out notifications by email to ticket purchasers to let fans know about what is and is not allowed with the new bag policy.

What Is Not Allowed?

  • Backpacks (including clear backbacks)
  • Binocular and Camera Cases
  • Tinted or Printed Pattern Plastic Bags
  • Fanny Packs
  • Purses
  • Seat Cushions with Pocket
  • Oversided Tote Bags
  • Mesh Bags

The new NFL bag policy is one of the strictest bag policies in all of professional sports. It will take some time for fans to get used to these new restrictions. So what will the NFL allow into its stadiums this year?

What Is Allowed?

  • One bag that is clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ by 6″ and 12″ or
  • A one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
  • In addition to one of the clear bags noted above, fans may also carry in a small clutch bag or purse approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap.
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items, including diaper bags, after proper inspection designated for this purpose.
  • Each member of a family, including children, will be able to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse, providing ample storage capacity.

I spoke with a representative with the San Diego Chargers and they also added that you can still bring in a camera or binoculars as long as they are carried around your neck without a case or in an acceptable clear bag (as listed above).

Fans attending an NFL games may also carry in items in their pockets such as keys, makeup, combs, phones, wallets, and credit cards. Fans can also continue to carry a blanket or jacket into the stadium.

Some NFL teams are helping their fans make the transition by providing complimentary clear bags to their season ticket-holders (see the Chargers bag pictured at the top of this article).
